The idea of treating the form of a handknit hat like a miniature, studio-made, sculpture gave birth to Brooklyn Handknit.  The methodology of operating a small print shop became the foundation of the production and design process.  With the focus on graphically inspired handknit accessories and sweaters, and employing over 40 local handknitters, Brooklyn Handknit designs were produced and sold to retailers such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks 5th Ave, Kate Spade, Jack Spade, Calypso, Paul Smith, Harvey Nichols, Colette, Anthropologie and more.
